Midway through the tour’s richest Manila Megastack series at Okada Manila, Philippines, several spadies have already been awarded in the past five days yet no festival remains complete without its crown jewel Main Event. This Wednesday, February 21st marks the first day of the awaited PHP 20,000,000 (~USD 357,430) guaranteed Main Event action where Flight A is set to play through. Posting double of last season’s guarantee, the ambitious pot sees a PHP 10,000 (~USD 89) price hike with the buy-in now set at PHP 45,000 (~USD 804).
Four Main Event flights are available on schedule with each playing down to 15% of the field (ITM) for a spot into Day 2. All qualifiers (except for the Turbo) and Day 2 will run through 40 minute blind levels and longer 60 minute intervals for the final table gameplay. Each entry buys the player a starting stack of 30,000, equivalent to 300 big blinds to start the day. A champion is deemed to be crowned on Sunday, February 25th with the top two winners additionally receiving PHP 120,000 (~USD 2,145) valued 2024 APPT Event Packages taken from the prize pool.
